Aptly titled because this is how it went:
My boys lost last Saturday (to USF) in overtime...oh the madness of that was overwhelming. Got in a fight with my best friends husband and called him a f***kin a$$hole, too long to go into.
I had to travel to lovely downtown Wilmington, Delaware, because the powers that be in my division decided we needed to get together at least once a quarter to endure countless hours of HR presentations and cheer-leading sessions (if I had wanted to be an emo I would've signed up for that in college). The only good thing about it was the limo ride to and from the Philly airport, everthing else in between was shit. I mean who books an entire group of programmers into a hotel without one single mini-bar in any of the rooms? So needless to say we had to socially drink all week. If I wanted to socialize with those twats I sure as hell wouldn't do it in Wilmington. The flight home was like the endless holding pattern over Greenville, SC (turbulence included). Once home, I realized I had to go into the office on Friday because stoopid me left my battery charger in DE. One good thing was the Mercury rallying and winning at home to push a 5th and final game with the Shock (in Detroit no less).
Now safe and comfy back in hell (aka Phoenix), the wife has been great (I think she really missed me this time).
So for all of you out there that love the summer, here's a summer poem the wife passed along (especially for those of use who like to live in a climate where we hit 110+ for 30 consecutive days).
